Fire Mooney

Here's a new way to look at things: Let's forget everything about Mooney pre-2024-25 season. That's when the current NIL structure really took effect in college athletics, so I would say it's fair to judge him on how he's done with it, since it is the present and will be future.

He's signed 10 transfers.
We are 21-34 in Division 1 games.
We are 9-22 in Atlantic 10 games.
We are 0-4 against vcu.
We are 0-1 in the Atlantic 10 tournament.
We had the worst OOC schedule in the league this season.

What signs are there that Mooney a) has navigated this new normal successfully so far or b) is capable of doing so moving forward?
Fordham’s OOC would like a word, not that it matters…

We tried to have the worst, but Fordham edged us out.

D3
3 teams 350 NET or worse.
3 teams 245-270 NET.
3 teams 189-194.
3 teams at 55, 114, and 126.

Unreal how ugly this is. And, then we get to hear the constant whining. We played 10 games against D3 or NET 189 and above. Yet, we hear whining before and during our season about how hard it is to schedule. Right, I am sure it is so incredibly hard to even schedule more top 180 mid majors that we have to have 10 of these 189 NET or higher games.

Why we disrespecting rose hill like that? Its one of my favorite gyms in the conference. So cool looking. Yes i know its old but nothing beats watching your team mid day at rose hill
I agree Rose Hill is great! I actually went to the Fordham/Manhattan game there back in December. As you all know i bailed on the Richmond/Fordham game.

C’mon now. Not disrespecting. The fact of the matter is it is the size of some high school gyms and certainly has the appearance. On the other hand, we play in a beautiful state of the art facility and are currently behind Fordham in standings.

not going to argue the fact we should be ahead of them. Would never do that. Fair comment.

No, didn’t know you bailed. As a CM fan you probably should have gone. That win represents 25 pct of our A10 wins.

agreed, but I can't think of a D1 gym I've been to that I didn't like. I went to St Joe's before the renovation and thought that was awesome too.
wait ... I went to Brown. now that's a high school gym.

Currently below Fordham in the standings…
Still there. The bad news is we play two of the teams behind us in the standings- St. Bona and Loyola in the next week. We could fall to last place in the conference. We could go 0-5 down the stretch.

I like Rose Hill too. It’s old of course & small but I like gyms u r right on top of the action.

American U Bender Arena was more like a high school gym - and I played on it during a HS tournament. Also watched Spids there during Beilein era. Almost lost but pulled it out on a great full court play. Back when we coached up actual plays.
