Spiders pushed the lead to 4, but two quick ones from USF has it back to 14–12 Spiders. 6:30 left to play.

Edit: USF wins the ensuing draw and then a bad foul on UR that they were lucky to only get a green card for gives USF a man-up opportunity and they convert. 14–13 with 5:30 to go.

Edit 2: USF wins another face-off, and then we commit a green card foul to give them another man-up opportunity, and they convert yet again to tie it all up at 14 with 5 minutes to go.

Spiders survive another USF draw control and then convert off a free position at the other end to go up 15–14.

Just 2:15 left.

Edit: USF wins yet another DC and takes a timeout with 2:05 to play.

Edit 2: Spiders get a stop and take a timeout of their own with 1:24 to go.

The Spiders had moved up from 25th to 23rd in the media poll that came out today, while South Florida was sitting just outside receiving votes for the equivalent of 28th.

This was a really entertaining game to watch. It looked like USF was going to blow our doors off, but between a better performance at the draw circle and Francioli really picking up her game in the second half Spiders prevail.

I agree, this was a very entertaining game with big runs by both teams. I think Coach Harrington challenged her team with this quick turnaround game and they answered the challenge. Job well done!
