Just to be fair to our Kick off Specialist
He never was recruited to kick field goals. He was asked to try it the last few days until Saturday. He did his job yesterday limiting their run backs to almost minimum yards! The real question that needs to be asked is why our Freshman kicker who started out fantastically in fall camp and faded into the dog house was not given the chance to do his job, he was there and dressed on the sideline but was a loner the whole game, not one teammate around him! We also had a 5th year place kicker, locale player who ended up kicking in the game, Even though he was fighting an injury? Can’t use the excuse that we lost probably a possible this year All American FCS kicker we had prior to Maryland purchasing him away after the portal had closed who kicked yesterday for Maryland, kicking 3 field goals and all his PAT’s
Also the new punter did a great job.
