So we have the money, just would rather spend it on successful programs like our men’s lacrosse team and not waste it on men’s basketball where people have lost interest and don’t care much anymore. I guess that makes sense.

Can't say I blame them. Our lacrosse program is a legitimate national championship contender and is equipped to be a perennial powerhouse for years to come. Compare that to the state of the basketball program.
We begin our new basketball journey hopefully no later than 2029 / 2030 barring another stupid extension.

If we have to wait that long there will be no fans left. My family has had season tickets for 22 years and this is the first time we are thinking about not renewing them.

The only way this administration is going to actually take notice is if people stop donating and also stop going to the games. The message of families having 20+ years of season tickets and not renewing speaks louder than any words.
I'm also thinking about not renewing my tics next season. I really enjoy Spider BB & try to support the team's players. However it's increasingly becoming difficult with CM as coach. Add on the trash OOC schedules, and I'll have to think about this more next fall.

Roussell bringing energy and marketing his team to fans to get as much support for a big A10 tournament. The kind of thing a coach driven for success does. Hope you all had a chance to listen to the spider sound off podcast with Roussell this Monday. Notable highlights was his explicit statement of championships as a goal. Roussell saying that he’s never content due to being driven by the fear of failure, and stressing the importance of getting more fans to the game. He commented about how the coach serves in a way as head of marketing for his program as you can see here. Truly night and day difference between him and Mooney.
