VCU does it again… good for them.

Congrats to VCU. For those that watched and weren't aware UNC's Jarin Stevenson is UR Hall of Famer Jarod Stevenson's son. Tough loss for the family.

Good for VCU! Honestly happy to see them rewarded for their "go for it" culture. They are committed to being in a position to do this and make decision after decision that supports this.

Same city, same league etc. as us but we couldn't be more different. From top to bottom. Note the comments at the end from Martelli - - "we preach making winning plays". At UR, we preach running the weave and let's make it pretty and especially don't take any chances that might lead to a turnover. Making plays is totally overrated.

Down 19 Mooney would be crafting his quotes about how we competed and how tough it is etc. etc.

VCU has complete alignment across the board. Institutional commitment from president and BoT, a great AD, and great coaches. They explicitly set high goals for themselves, put their money with their mouth is, and don’t make excuses. When the women’s basketball coach lost to UR 7 times in a row, she was fired mid season. By the way, she was the program’s all time winning coach too. They set expectations, have complete alignment on achieving those goals, and hold people accountable when goals are not met. That is how a program should be run. Good for them.

We could have had Martelli. Maybe Senior Martelli is available.
Well he didn't do much at Michigan when he was the shadow coach to Juwan Howard. I think he's past his expiration date. If there was a coach with UR ties out there that would be a figure head like Penny Hardaway I'd take him over Mooney every day of the week, knowing full well that it's not an ideal scenario.

A-10 has a very good chance to earn four units at the very least. Been a long time since that happened. Since we refuse to take MBB seriously anymore, thank you for sharing the wealth.
