I do enjoy the enthusiasm they have for their teammates plays, guys are really excited for AP tonight.

Ah Bluefield certainly not D1 but was the town my grandad UR 1920s grad lived in for 50 years - great memories visiting my grandparents when a kid

I’ll go ahead and post my thoughts on the game with a few minutes left.

This was one of the most fun basketball games I’ve watched us play in awhile. We look like a legitimate team. We score in multiple different ways, 21 assists on 36 field goals with about 4 min left and only 5 turnovers is incredible. Our depth has been a big strength for us. We continue to play aggressive basketball winning rebounds and another night of double digit offensive rebounds.

And one other thing I’ve noticed this year that I haven’t in all my years following Richmond basketball is that we are dunking the ball. How many emphatic dunks have we seen this year? JRob, Walz, AP had a few this game and others in the past. Daughtry had a great one on an alley oop pass last game. The points still count the same, but the intangible mental edge that gives the team and elevating fan energy is invaluable. That’s what good teams do. They don’t just beat their opponent… they drop 100 and dunk all over them. Fun game tonight!

Honestly, there are no negatives about tonight’s performance. Only negative is that this team might actually be very good and we won’t know until conference play because of our lousy schedule.
