2025 Richmond Spiders Football - Prologue - Howard

I realize we’ve lost some key players from last year, but you have to have to be strong at QB to run a successful offense. Look at the difference last year after Cam replaced Wick. And this year we’re back to a noticeable lack of offensive production. Not all on the QB position, but much attributed to lack of QB skill. And I think you can’t say “but look at the offense vs VMI”. That’s a game we’re supposed to dominate. Other than the VMI game, our offense is lacking. And aren’t we supposed to handle Howard reasonably well? Wonder what we’d look like offensively this year with Cam at QB.

A good QB makes a big difference. Look at what Morris has done at UVa this year. Major upgrade in offensive production.

After watching the game, it looks like Huesman, Jr. adjusted the offense, because Howard was bottling up the run game. He was able to call a handful of effective pass plays.
