Wickersham holds the ball too long.He’s got to see the field quicker than previously.
Fair getting behind their secondary would help too.

One of the few QBs I like holding the ball. He runs like a mac truck. Fair deep and Clarke over the middle will be dangerous all year
Wickersham matches up well against the secondaries in the Patriot League.

Based on the limited data on this year’s Spider team and all the retention on the LU side, one has to give the edge to Lehigh and Herder’s score seems reasonable to me. It really is a crime that this game is the first of the season.

It's just a guess on my part, but this game being scheduled in August, outside of the usual PL window, late September through late November, could have been at our request to save our historic season ending game versus W&M? The Indians may not have had any other date available?

As time goes on Lehigh will get better too. Lehigh has to guard against complacency, we don't. We don't know what we have so no way Lehigh knows what we'll do. If, and it's a big if, we don't make mistakes as in turnovers and giving up big chunk plays I like our chances. Russ's teams know how to grind. Just need to outscore them by one. It's those 1's that I'm now worried about.

Well it is time for all of us know it alls to coach our 2025 Spider Football team. Each of us has a way of thinking we know more than the coaches! The Peanut Gang will be present at Lehigh rooting as we always have done for over 35+ years
We will have a team this year who is extremely talented and a tremendous drive to make a name for this team and have no feet out of the door to leave. Last year we had talent superior to Lehigh but were out willed by them. This will not be the case this year. We lost 10 starters to the transfer portal and Lehigh none. So either they love Lehigh to stay or they were not potentially good enough to step up in a higher level? Talent doesn’t always win but it gives you an edge. We will bring our best effort and talented team Saturday and may the best team win. We will win by just enough

Jacob Huesman will be in the booth on Saturday.Having his elevated eyes on the field
will hopefully provide an impetus for Wickersham to make improved decisions in running and executing our offensive game plan.Young Huesman should have no problem reading what Lehigh gives us,the only question will be whether Wickersham can execute his guidance effectively.

That’s what we all are hoping. I will say that we are fortunate to have a seasoned Co Offensive Coordinator by his side to help tutor him. Hope they can work together and Russ stays out of the Offense

Also at the breakfast Monday a question was asked about communication on sideline to field. The QB will be in contact to sideline up until 10 seconds before the snap as well as 1 defensive player also
