2025 playoff prognostications

UR would gladly play Stetson,Mercyhust and Stonehill like Harvard and Yale did this season as well as Columbia,Brown,Cornell.Lehigh had Yale for lunch this season,

Haley of Stats loves the Ivies. He has a ton of sway over the preseason and the weekly season polls which people follow including the Coaches poll.Haley is the “moderator” for FCS football who more than “guides” the opinion of pollsters.

Do you have insight into how the FCS balances strength of schedule into their formulas & choices for inclusion? For example - we play an FBS each year, and the Ivies are playing little sisters of the poor OOC. Also, I'm guessing the committee sees Ivy League as stronger than PL since Ivies had 2 bids.

Haley gave Harvard extreme love(wink wink)into the Top 10 over time and he positioned Yale at #25.Harvard was getting in,either as the AQ or an at large.Yale was only going to get in only as the AQ.

Haley can play this polling game with any two(2) of the Big 3-Yale,Princeton,Harvard.

Let’s see what Haley comes out with an early preseason poll.It will only be his opinion but it forms a template for “ others” to follow.Go Nova.Go Penquins.

Monmouth loss this weekend to Albany was a dagger to their heart.

Keep your eye on Haley

FCS National Team of the Week

Yale (45-27 win over Harvard)

Yale jumped to a 17-0 lead on the way to beating rival Harvard in their 141st all-time meeting, clinching a share of the Ivy League title with the Crimson and claiming the league’s first-ever FCS playoff bid. Starring for coach Tony Reno’s team were his son Dante Reno (273 passing yards, three touchdowns), Josh Pitsenberger (143 rushing yards, three TDs), Nico Brown (189 receiving yards, TD) and Brandon Webster (eight tackles, forced fumble and recovery on game’s first play from scrimmage).

Ivy League conference teams and their soft OOC schedules coupled with a mandated 10 game regular schedule all being exposed for what they are….Weak.Haley’s love affair with Boola Boola and Jonnies coming crashing down to earth.

Good news is this was a weak bubble year. I don't think we'll have too many multi-bid Ivy years against stronger fields. UNH got in at 8-4 and beat zero playoff teams
