Looking forward to listening to this! Hopefully Coach recognizes how much we all appreciate what he has done here. He’s a tremendous coach and representative of our university. Also hope he recognizes the continued potential of this Richmond program and our school supporting him however necessary.

Fantastic interview from Roussell. Some notable highlights I loved. His explicit statement that championships are the goal. He talked about how - even to this day - he remains driven in getting better out of “fear of failure”. He talked about the importance of creating a great atmosphere and how it was a big goal for him to get more attendance. Also talked about how the coach in some ways is the head of marketing for its program.
It’s truly night and day the difference in philosophies we have with our men’s and women’s basketball coach and I don’t think it’s a coincidence that the men’s team has been bottom 4 in the A10 the past few years and the women’s team keeps winning 25+ games every year and finishing top of the conference.

I’m a major Roussell fan. He has the right attitude and balance in today’s college environment. It really is flabbergasting how different the women’s and men’s programs are run. I sure hope Hardt remembers all the reasons that he hired Roussell TWICE.
