your best case scenario has us languishing 5 more years? Oof. DOA in that situation.
I think he means you mentioned size of AA in regard to P5 poaching him…don't think I ever mentioned his size. I'm saying I doubt we pay anyone who's not all-conference $500k. what do you raise him to the following year if he's actually on an all-conference team? I've already said he gets a big bump and will be the highest NIL guy on the roster ... unless we add an all-conference level guy in the portal.
as good as he is, he isn't carrying us to anything. we need good players around him, and they cost money too.
ah. think I did say that.I think he means you mentioned size of AA in regard to P5 poaching him…
Sorry Brooklyn, but that is how I keep my sanity in regards to our Spiders situation. If something weird happens and Mooney is gone and we actually hire a good coach prior to that, I will be pretty pumped again. But until then - ho hum.your best case scenario has us languishing 5 more years? Oof. DOA in that situation.
they "only" have a $2B endowment.I don't think SLU has more resources than Richmond? No, they just have a comittment to basketball.
They get major support from locals, as Tarrant used to say if you want to be prominent on national scene, first be prominent at home.they "only" have a $2B endowment.
but they have 3 times our student body and no football. hoops is truly their flagship. their arena holds 10,600.
I don't think they do, at least not in the past. In fact according to numbers Native posted, they only averaged 1500 more fans than us this year. This with them having a historic team and success and our fan morale at lowest point in years IMO.They get major support from locals, as Tarrant used to say if you want to be prominent on national scene, first be prominent at home.
We play FCS football, I don't think that is getting a big cut of our potential NIL spending. Our arena was downsized, which I didn't think a bad idea. Based on their inability to fill up their stadium in a historic year, probably not a bad idea for SLU too.they "only" have a $2B endowment.

might be no cut at all of our NIL spending. but it's still 63 scholarships, equipment, coaches' salaries, and travel costs ... for 5 home games of revenue. it's expensive. SLU doesn't have that cost.We play FCS football, I don't think that is getting a big cut of our potential NIL spending. Our arena was downsized, which I didn't think a bad idea. Is this correct for FY2024?they "only" have a $2B endowment.
