We are a national entity in FCS football circles based on our success and history which includes a National Championship. For many alumni that is irrelevant and they will never be satisfied because it was not done at what is considered the highest level. For others like me, the pride that comes with being the best in the level you compete in means the world. Those memories made in that magical season will not be forgotten and should be something of pride for all alumni and not belittled as an insignificant event.

And a just as significant difference between the P4 and Group of 5/6 in FBS. There needs to be a reclassification of all Division l football schools and separate tournaments for each. Money and greed dictate all.

I think we all understand there is a significant difference between Texas and Rhode Island too. But they're both states.
The NCAA considers FCS to be Division I. Is it as good as FBS? Of course not. But it is Division I football.
It's funny how two people can see the same thing and have such a different outlook. The last time I was on campus (2024), everyone was wearing UR gear.
