Bench player
6'6, 225lb forward. When I went to the NIL preseason scrimmage event last season, Jaylen seemed impressive and strong.

Does he have Cayo form on his free throws?Or a wider Cayo
Go Spiders!
Great post!JRob. Really hoping this guy gets a big opportunity this year. Crazy if he does not. We have had at least 3 or 4 different eyewitness reports from this board, going back to last year's pre season scrimmages. All of them very positive. No clear path with Daughtry seeming like the power forward. This is where Mooney needs to think outside the box. And we all know that is far far from a strength of his. I am not completely giving up on Bryson as an impact player this season, but I am getting the sense he will need that adjustment time to this level. I do think he needs to play this year, especially early vs this weak schedule OOC. But back to JRob. We need him on the floor. I don't want to hear about lack of fit (with Daughtry at 4) or learn the system, or anything else. Get him on the floor and impacting the game. Play him next to Daughtry.
Anyone remeber our stellar 6'5 Power Forwards? Name of Kenny Wood and Terry Connolly. Both guys could play, and Tarrant played them together. Both could bang and board, and both had offensive skill. I think we need something like that with Daughtry and JRob. Figure it out.
:Does he have Cayo form on his free throws?
Not sure where this spidey-sense came from in July, but this is exactly what I saw vs JMU. Bryson has the physical attributes, but seems to be thinking too much and trying to speed up at the same time compounding the issue.I am not completely giving up on Bryson as an impact player this season, but I am getting the sense he will need that adjustment time to this level. I don’t think I was following the Spiders closely in the Wood/Connolly years, but it seems like this is exactly what the Spiders strength will be this year. I know this is a throwback style of play, but it seems like the traditional 2 guard, 2 forwards, and a center would be the best fit if you wanted to go with “the best players play” model. However, as 23 mentions this type of change doesn’t seem Mooney-like so I doubt we see it this year.….JRob. We need him on the floor. Good question…I don’t recall his shooting a FT…or a 3FG…Does he have Cayo form on his free throws?
Apparently someone from the family got in his head and retooled his ft form before final season. Yikes.:I'll take Cayo's 4th year stats which he hit 70% which is about his pro average versus whatever happened to cause that horrendous looking form 5th when he crashed to 44%.
Double down. If JRob is not getting significant minutes because of some perceived misfit between being 3/4, then that’s a fireable offense. That guy brings a whole vibe to the lineup that’s been missing for a while now.JRob. Really hoping this guy gets a big opportunity this year. Crazy if he does not.
