Big quiddich tournament todayCan’t blame them at all after last year. A season like that takes a while to recover from in terms of student interest.

Wow that is sad. And there were a lot of bad teams in there over the year.Walz made a comment in yesterday's press conference about Belmont being our first non-con road win since 2021. Felt like it came straight from MDSpider8's post on that subject.

He just refuses to be denied.Daughtry is an absolute beast! Adds such a different dynamic to our team

Do you expect that?No kidding. I am squarely in the trap game mindset and expecting the Spiders to be down at the half. Then I expect a close second half and a single digit win. We will see soon.
Lot of missed calls last 5 mins.Refs swallowing their whistles. Walz was clearly fouled on his miss, and then I'm not sure his block was clean, but I'll certainly take that trade.
And we outrebounded them. Like we've done to almost everyone else. The world has turned upside down.Gritty win from the Spiders. We played with a lot of effort. We didn’t give up when the 3’s and free throws weren’t falling and ODU was at an arms distance almost the whole game. That is what effort gets you. Fighting for rebounds, playing with tenacity on D, creating your opportunities on offense by driving to the basket. This is what I want to keep seeing not just this year but in the future as well.
Best game I’ve seen from Walz in a while. He played strong, confident, and as a leader this game. Daughtry continues to be in beast mode and I love his assertiveness. Offense isn’t falling for AP but I think today was one of his better games as a spider and perhaps his best defensive game I’ve seen. He had a lot of key blocks and a steal. Thomas is quickly becoming one of my favorite spiders this season. His play reminds me a lot of DLo his first year as a transfer: May not be the go to scorer but makes plays when needed, doesn’t make mistakes, and fits our overall style of play really well.
ODU isn’t good this year but they had a key player out with injury who just came back today. I can see them finishing in the top half of the Sun belt. Always great to beat an in-state rival.
