Game Thread - Bonnie at RC - Sat 2/21 6pm ESPN+

As we have said, our fan base is old. So announcing on social media doesn't help the people most likely to attend. And, as we have said, our attendance numbers are dwindling. So that also doesn't help much. Why on earth would they not employ the same strategy as they did for the woman's red out? It seems like those announcements were everywhere.
The key difference in the women’s red out game was Roussell was a vocal catalyst in making it happen leading the initiative with both the athletic department and on social media. Mooney probably doesn’t want anyone watching the games at this point to avoid further criticism.

I wonder what the crowd is going to look like? The VCU game was 2/3 full and that seemed to deflate whatever small appetite our fanbase had for this team. I suspect we have less than a half full building, probably less than 50 students at the game. On senior night. Hoping Hardt and PQ have front row seats to the sad spectacle it will be.
Hardt will be asleep by halftime. PQ probably prefers less fans (shorter beer lines). No one in charge of the program shows they care, why should we? This will be my last game at the RC until things change

Actually, the big difference was that University Communications was involved and it wasn’t just athletics communications.

I'm the same 17. No feel for how this one goes. Win one for the mooner? Or does the floor fall out?

It's a good thing Bona hasn't been able to put the ball in the basket, because our offensive execution has been horrific the past couple of minutes. Tanner baseball pass Hail Mary turnover to give the ball right back after a stop, Walz badly missed three, and Johnston terrible entry pass into a crowd of Bonnies.

This team has a chance to win when they run and let it fly. That half court offense grinds us to a halt and we really can’t play defense for any extended period of time.

I only recall taking a couple of midrange shots, guys either went with the three ball or drove.

Two teams with small guards who shot threes well but couldn't stop each other. Really amazing that both teams each played reasonably well in both halves.
