So am I correct that Thomas who started didn't play at all in the 2nd half? I did like the attempt to get more height in with Robinson at halftime but wonder if Thomas was hurt or just entirely benched?

While there may be a talent deficit, this team can definitely score. It really is a defensive strategy/philosophy issue imo, and perhaps exacerbated by suboptimal defensive talent.
But we are not putting these guys in a position to win with how we draw up the D.

Yes, more pressure on to force change to the program. Although we lost to VCU 90-49 last year and nothing changed so I guess bad losses don’t mean anything either

We're a horrific defensive team.
The offense doesn't suit some of the better offensive players who are really 1 on 1 guys.
The Moon system guys run the system, which sucks and often leads to the guys not suited to it turning the ball over. Or the guys who have played it 4 years, also turning the ball over. Walz and Tyne not heaping glory upon themselves in this system.
The train has left the tracks.

Just listened to the post game video. Couldn’t make a minute without turning it off. Black immediately talked about how competitive Richmond was in the second. Yeah no s**t, they were up 20 plus, they are going to let their foot on the break. This program will never be serious until something changes
The post game with St.Louis was the same tone.

Bob Black is hired by the university. The university is not paying him to be critical of the team. He’s an announcer and a PR guy for us. Bob is one of the best in the business. I wish I could see more reporting even if it means critiquing the status quo from JOC who is an independent journalist.
On a different note, I wonder what those meetings are like with the top donors who supposedly have a monthly zoom meeting or something like that I remember 80sFan saying. Now that money is more prevalent with NIL and directly linked to performance outcome, I can see patience being less of a virtue for some donors.
If I was giving $10K plus a year and this was what I was getting in return, I’d be pissed.

Exactly what I’m alluding too. Making fake positives. It’s not black’s fault. It’s just unwatchable when it’s so fake.
PR for the PR guy. I think he does his job well, especially from the UR rose colored glasses perspective, but I would be hard pressed to call him the best.
To get a second opportunity to play a team that beat you and to make NO adjustments and get beat in the exact same manner is pure insanity. Total lack of coaching effort. I did not last beyond the initial 15-3 live and I could watch the game on-demand, but have no need to.
Hopefully the Spiders can show some sort of fighting spirit vs the Rams, who are in yet another transition year and are not the dominant team in the conference.

We’ve known for years that Moon is slow as a turtle in making adjustments. He is wedded to his system come hell or high water. Yesterday’s repeat makes perfectly good sense given that. Yesterday was actually worse than the loss at our house because he knew what to expect, and it appears that he made no adjustments and chose not to. No surprise.
