All A-10 player
Haven't bought my tix yet but plan to do so soon. Like the timeslot for sure more than the 11am Seed #1 game. Expect the crowd to be large and 95% or more for the Spiders.

Just got off a call from the UR ticket office trying to sell me tickets for the entire tournament. No sale since I already have mine and at a better price since I’m an old guy, but nice to see them being proactive.

Go to the A-10 WBB tournament site. They have single session senior tickets for under $18 if memory serves. You end up buying the tickets on Ticketmaster.

No. 11 SLU took out No. 14 Fordham today, so the Billikens will face No. 6 La Salle tomorrow for the right to take on the Spiders.

I have been hoping this would happen

At the moment I think we only have one slot open for a portal pickup. If it stays that way, I'd prefer we focus on a big. Knezevic had her best game of the year against us with 22 points (0 of 4 from the line so it could have been better), but for the season averaged 10.3 ppg and 6 boards. I think we can do bigger and better.

Knezevic played well in that second game against us, but overall her shooting stats aren't impressive compared to what Roussell looks for. Only 36% overall and 29% from deep this year. Decent rebounder, though only 6'0" so not a real big. Twice as many turnovers as assists this season too.

A-10 ROY Koerkenmeier out of SLU is an interesting one for me. 6'6" rebounding and block machine and shoots well (as you'd hope up close to the basket where she plays). Distributes the ball a bit at 1.5 APG, but does not shoot the three (zero attempts on the year).

SF you are correct - If I could pick one conference player to transfer to Richmond it would be Koerkenmeier. Not only is she 6'6" but she is not spindly. Three years of eligibility, three All A-10 awards (ROY, All Defensive and Third Team honors). Roussell says the offense can work as long as there are four shooters on the floor so the fact that she doesn't shoot threes would still be a fit. All that being said, I have no reason to believe she won't be at SLU next year.

All four better-seeded teams advanced today, so the Spiders will take on 6-seed La Salle after the Explorers took out 11-seed SLU, 59–51.
Koerkenmeier for SLU went for 18 and 12 plus 5 blocks, although she was only 5-for-13 from the field. Both teams shot poorly overall, as you can probably tell from the score.

The Spiders and Explorers only met once this season, a couple weeks ago with the Spiders rolling at home 92–58 in Aneisha Scott's breakout game where she scored 20 to lead the way.

Rhody gets the 71–64 win, although Loyola did push them. The Rams went six and a half minutes without a field goal in the fourth quarter, allowing Loyola to cut a 16-point deficit to 5 several times down the stretch, but the Ramblers ultimately got no closer.

Other than Davidson jumping out to an early 14–4 lead, the 4/5 matchup was tight the whole way with the Wildcats hanging on for a 64–59 win over St. Joe's.

It's been all chalk through the first eight games of the A-10 tourney so far.
