Yes. Except that the team is not getting better, building momentum and gelling. If you play a horrible OOC it's to stack wins, get confident and find your rhythm as a team, set your rotations and get better every game as guys get familiar with roles, expectations and figure out how to make winning plays. Is that happening? No.These games are essentially meaningless. We’re basically playing for tourney seeding and perhaps some small amount of pride. That’s about it.
Tyne - regressing
Walz - mercurial and light years from an all-A10 level player on a game by game basis. Just as likely to score 2 as to hit double digits.
Johnston - also mercurial, but less so. The shots he's getting seem to be worse now than earlier this year though.
4th starter - still unknown, rotating through players 20 games in. (We literally cannot figure out who to start in game 20. Sigh.)
Lopez - clearly a scorer, needs shots, touches. The most known quantity in this five IMO.
And those are the starters.
Who, other than Argabright, is playing better now than a month ago? Maybe Thomas? Daughty has had a bunch of rough games in league, Beagle same, Tanner is out of the rotation, AP still is a guaranteed miss if he shoots the ball and Robinson is a freshman tweener trying to find a role. I guess Harper has emerged as a shooter and scorer.
The coaching is the same/worse - again, not giving Aiden the ball at the 1m mark last night - when he had been scoring and drawing fouls all game...baffling. Coaching in SLU game brought back memories of UR's guards getting abused by Samhan in the NCAA tournament...in 2010.
