Man, UR can’t even get first place in the worst OOC schedule competition. 😂

Ok, we have the 2nd worst schedule in the A10.

that's impressively weak.
honestly, if that's an appropriate OOC schedule for Fordham then they're probably in the wrong conference.
hopefully nobody is saying that about us.

Mount ST Mary’s may be the New York one…

Mount ST Mary’s may be New York one.l.
Indeed it is.

Welp, they just lost the best game on their schedule thanks to my naive assumption it couldn't be THAT bad.

Away at Iona is probably their only shot at a Q3 game and even that is no sure thing. Everything else is almost certainly a Q4 or non-D1.

not sure if you could do worse if tried.

At one time in the not so distant past, the A-10 had scheduling guideline for OOC games. If I'm Bernadette, I'm getting the AD's of Fordham and Richmond on the line together and telling them both not to do this again. Congrats to Fordham though for making our schedule the 2nd worst in the A-10. Fordham apparently is our comp. in the league now. Well done Hardt and Mooney.

It doesn’t seem long ago, but I wonder how long that was true after Chaney was gone?

They seem to be taking the heat off of us.

The A-10 needs to do something to address this. This is a MBB centered athletic conference and you can't allow you conference to devolve into a one bid league without trying to do something about it. Get an AAC-A-10 challenge going, get all of the AD's together and figure out a cohesive OOC scheduling strategy. Do something and be public about it. But please, don't come off a whiners about it. Be proactive, be positive and develop a strategy to address it.

I think they have. I think they've told teams to schedule appropriately to have winning OOC records. Fordham's seems extreme, but maybe that's what they need.

Not sure what a winning record means when one looks below the sheets and sees weak, weak, weak schedules. I don’t keep up with the statistical rationalization of winning when the competition was the dregs of the NCAA.

Well, if that is their message, it is a terrible strategy.
In principle I like the idea. As a conference, we want to avoid as many Q4 games as possible. Fordham has no business playing an OOC schedule like Dayton has. However, this is to the other extreme and Fordham likely won’t be higher than a low Q3 going into A10 play even with a good OOC record.

Fordham trying to replicate that 12–1 OOC performance that catapulted them to a 25-win season and 2nd-place A-10 finish a few years ago. Guess that's our play too.
