Around the A10

Winless against the strongest schedule doesn’t help. Undefeated against the weakest schedule doesn’t help.

I would think you would want the strongest schedule that you would expect to be 9-4 against. And look for a way to improve on that 9-4.
That wouldn’t be the same schedule for every team.

Not really a good place for this, but I am now seeing the trend mentioned follow through. That is the ability for top mid majors to pull top 100 recruits in this Transfer First environment. The top mid majors, who I think we could have been in line with if we had an admin and coach that prioritized being a mid major powers, are pulling in some of their best recruits in this environment. VCU absolutely killing it. SDSU one of highest ranked recruits ever. St. Mary's just landed a top 100 guy.

Meanwhile, not much on the Richmond front.

If Jrob and Bryson pop this year and contribute to a top 4 A10 finish, and Argabright emerges as the next Gilly or KA type of impact PG - then I will admit Mooney is doing a good job in this enviro. But as of now it seems like we are only "competing"

Wonder how that will be received. Not sure why a pro team would attend this ... unless just a a favor to Woj. It's not going to help a kid get drafted.

Optics. The whole Bonnie’s basketball staff is going to be recruiting with the pitch that there will be increase NBA exposure with scouts, which is true. In reality, whether that is going to move the needle in anyway with NBA teams to consider a player on the Bonnie’s anymore than they would’ve otherwise, probably not. But it’s one more thing Bonnie’s can say they have that others don’t.

Agreed. It is something they can add to their recruiting pitch. I like it, it is innovative, it's get their name/brand out there.

Another mid major in our own state with a huge hs recruiting pick up. I am hopeful on our last 2 classes, but it seems that a higher level recruit is indeed more avaliable with the advent of NIL free agency. Seems like VCU and Liberty have adapted and taken advantage. Just super weird that Richmond is not ahead of the curve here.
