Around the A10

Not shocking, he'll make more in the NBA and he's probably tired of losing good players and the recruiting grind.
plenty of reasons to move on. but is recruiting really a grind? I imagine assistants are doing most of the calls and visits. head coach goes on the road for the evaluation period but that's only a couple weeks in the spring and a couple in the summer. he's involved obviously when a recruit is on campus ... but how hard is that?

Regardless of the reasons, it is a complete d*ck move to quit 2 months before the start of the season. Lange was on the hot seat at St. Joes and that to me is why he left, but it does not make it right. Bennett got rightly roasted last year for doing the same thing at UVA, but at least he "retired" versus just taking another job.

btw ... they've already replaced him with Steve Donohue.
to move that quickly, maybe this wasn't Lange screwing SJU as much as it was SJU moving on from Lange.

Yeah, looks like Donahue is not just interim. I don't know how this happening on September 10 could be anything but a Lange-driven decision unless he did something egregious recently, but I guess stranger things have happened.

Another mid major in our own state with a huge hs recruiting pick up. I am hopeful on our last 2 classes, but it seems that a higher level recruit is indeed more avaliable with the advent of NIL free agency. Seems like VCU and Liberty have adapted and taken advantage. Just super weird that Richmond is not ahead of the curve here.
Yeah, really quite shocking.
Agree. That would be the expectation.

without seeing a conference preview ... Dayton and GMU look interesting at those numbers.
There seems to be unrest in Dayton with Anthony Grant, so not really surprising that the ranking is lower than usual. At least they are keeping up with the OOC schedule quality though.

EvanMiya - UR solidly in 10 spot 2 years in a row. Let’s hope the Spiders can overachieve this season.

Big jump in expectations for GW.

Looks like more of a bunching in the middle with the top falling and the bottom rising in the projections. Not a good sign for hopes of being a multi-bid league.

Correct, if these are the leagues NET scores in March, the A-10 will be a one bid league.
