I am going to respectfully disagree. Huesman tried to force a run scheme too many times. Tonight, we could almost predict every play before it happened. If I could do it, the opposing coaches certainly could read the plays.I will not throw him under the bus, you don’t reload instantly after losing 10 possible returning starters back from last year. He and his staff have recruited excellent talent
Maybe we got all we could get out this team this year!Somtimes the best of coaching doesn’t get executed by the players
Yes. The man is 34-16 in last four years with 3 NCAA Playoffs appearances and two league championships.Any Huesman truthers still out there?
Their offensive line has been intact the entire season. The same starting group in all games to date. Edwards is good but he would be the first to tell you he doesn't do it alone.Unbelievable that Jr. #26 Kente Edwards their running back who only carried the ball all last season 8 times for a total of 68 yards has been able to accomplish what he has for this year and totally dominated us today running the ball. Was only a special teams player last year on a 6-6 team?![]()

This season has been a disappointment, but my God we are playing with practically a new team after portal transfers and graduations. Not a fan of his overly conservative style, but overall hard to quibble with what he puts on the field. They are well recruited, well prepared, and never quit. Don't get that from a lot of coaches.
Tearing up the Patriot League? Really? Too funny. Slightly W-L record? Perhaps.Recruiting doesn't mean $hit if you are not a good sideline coach. Too conservative, too predictable, same old same old. Richmond should be tearing up the Patriot League.
Wow - the jokes keep coming! I guess you can go back to the CAA and tear it up against Hampton, Bryant, Campbell and North Carolina A&T. Then you can tear it up against Lehigh. Oooooops - Oh for two there. Look, stop being delusional. You’re a great academic school with a solid football program in a conference of like academic schools. Enjoy the rivalries. Enjoy college football the way, arguably, it could be. Have a drink at the tailgate. But if that doesn’t float your boat, get your first win ever against Lafayette in the history of storied Spider football history - and then join the ACC and tear it up against Duke and UVA.We should be tearing up the Pat league. I believe that was the goal and thereby raise the Pat League level of national competitiveness so that when WM and V come on board the Pat League will be really strong moving to rival the CAA is it’s hay day.
But alas, we have become an athletic program that measures itself on the goal of “did we compete,” with a self satisfaction level of sleepy contentment.
Keep preaching Rick.

Seriously? You played down to the #4 (twice) and #25 teams in FCS? But not to a 4-7 Howard (a ONE point win) and a squeaker win over 5-6 Wofford? Played down to Holy Cross and Bucknell, but stepped it up against Georgetown and Fordham? Did you play down against Bill and Jordon? Here’s to motivating the Spiders this week against Bill and Mary. < insert other Bill quote here about what your record says about you >In the comments above, Coach Huesman stated that the PL was very competitive, almost like parity. We have played down to our level of competition.
