Yep I hear you PA - have posted a few others on here too - that is all sorts of levels of teams that can schedule up (from top mid majors like SDSU down to first year D1 like New Haven. It's really just unbelievable the lack of effort from Mooney. Like I have said according to Mooney and Hardt, we can't get good teams to schedule us we are alternatively too bad, too good, too mediocre, play in too mid of a conference, a bad conference and too good of a conference. Alternatively, we can't schedule teams becuase Mooney has too many contacts, not enought contacts and just the right amount of contacts.

We see from the JMU coaches comments, that in reality they don't want to play anyone, just want to hide under Hardt's desk in the Robins Center.

For anyone who believes the nonsense that Mooney and Hardt peddle about the difficulty in scheduling Power 5 teams, check out Campbell’s schedule. They got a new staff who managed to schedule Wisconsin, Penn State, Minnesota, West Virginia, Wake Forest, and Gonzaga.

I don't think anyone is saying low majors can't get high major buy games. the HM's are scheduling other high majors and more low majors. the tougher mid major, high-risk low-reward games are getting squeezed out.

well most of the A10 has less than they used to. it's either because there are less HMs willing to play the MMs, or it's mandated by Bernadette. I don't think it's mandated.

Sugar coat it all you want, but the fact is UR has the worst OOC other than Fordham. As was recently pointed out Loyola Chicago has no P5s either, but they have plenty of quality mid-majors on the schedule. Mooney and staff are hunting for wins plain and simple.

Hardt and Mooney have made a mockery out of the OOC schedule, there literally is no defense of it. Every other team in the A-10 (save Fordham, which is the worst team in the league year in, year out) has put together a much better schedule than us.

OK so in the excuse mongering business - you are in the "we are too mid" to get scheduled sector. Cmon sman. Don't fall for the BS from moon and Hardt.
And, and if that is the case we only have moon to blame for falling into the mooniocrity level. VCU and us were the same. They went one way and we went another.

I think at this stage the best we can do is just discount what Hardt & Mooney say. It might be years, but at some point both will leave the school, and we can then hopefully begin to right the ship.

The only people that are listening to and believing what Hardt and Mooney have to say are themselves, maybe Queally too. I do wonder how the Spider NIL collective thing is doing after Mooney pissed away all of the donations last year on a bunch of guys that didn't fit together and won 10 games.

I’d put that investment on 10 games won last year on par with ROI of 3 NCAA appearances in 20 years.

High risk? Do Gonzaga, Duke, Kentucky, etc see Richmond as a risk anymore? I doubt they ever did to begin with, but even less so with the changes emerging from NIL.

I would love for our arena to be empty that day to show our disapproval. Lee there be more Southern Virginia fans. It’s crazy that there are some people on here still arguing that this is not unreasonable.

Mooney thinks Southern Virginia is actually UNC.

Teflon Chris. We will be playing d3 level one day and the mooneyites will be espousing the character of Peter Thomas' players. And Randolph Macon will be Peter's VCU.

By chance have you ever heard of Southern Seminary? I had no idea who Southern Virginia was either, but then discovered it is the new name for Southern Sem when it transitioned from a Women’s school to co-ed.

I grew up in Amherst County. Buena Vista is on the other side of Long Moutain. We played Perry McCluer HS. Southern Sem was just across the street. Tiny all girls school at the time.

Told this story many times. Chatted up a former D1 head coach at an AAU tourney 10+ years ago. Former UVA assistant as well. Told me at that time the same. Best job in D1. Great pay and admin had no pressure or expectations. 10 years later nothing changed. Should throw in that no media pressure at all. They all just go along with the bullshit. Oh well.

We have not heard boo from the collective guys this year. As much money as u can have, I'm guessing it doesn't feel good to give tens or hundreds of thousands of dollars to a coach who has no clue and squander it.
