Spiders Sound Off Meets the 3 Bid League

I like listening to the 3 bid league pod. They do a good job covering all the A10. Unsurprisingly, their last pod, which was the season recap, only had negative commentary for the Spiders and the 3 bid league’s preseason predictions on the team.

Can’t believe you didn’t ask Tyler when, if ever, the name of his pod will ring true again. I guess there are 3 programs reportedly spending enough to keep up with the P5 to possibly lead to bids.

I found it surprising that he kind of confirmed STL is 10M + and Dayton and VCU were not far behind.

Tyler was a great guest on the pod. He was very knowledgeable about Richmond players and recent history. I was impressed.

Good research by him to correlate our best seasons with having a good player at the 5. I would add that we would need a good player playing point as well, but he basically points out what we all knew that the 1 and 5 spot are most important for our system.

As far as Dayton, SLU, VCU investing significant financial commitment to getting players, I’m not surprised. That is what programs that are serious about their basketball programs and elevating themselves to the next level do. We can only dream of Richmond doing that one day, but I still have hope that one day it does happen.

Tyler from 3 Bid League drops in and analyzes our transfer portal activity and how it stacks up.
Fan2, curious about Tyler’s source/sources of information; sounds like he is just giving his personal opinions, much like you, me and the rest of us. This is fine, but one should put little stock in their value or usefulness. Just one person’s opinion.

Good question. He has pretty deep connections across the A 10. He has been doing his pod far longer than we have. It is possible he is making an educated guess, but I think he is likely far closer to being right than wrong.
