I know 17 posted this on another thread, but thought this deserved own thread as well. Wow, positive momentumn keeps building. IMO expectations are good, keep recruiting, keep yourself in the headlines, keep winning. It all feeds off of each other and Roussell is leading the way and pushing things forward. Stark contrast to another program at Richmond that loves stay hidden and lower expectations.

Every interview I hear from the players and coaches always has them speaking about meeting new standards and these high expectations in themselves. The ceiling is continuing to be pushed with our women’s program. This is the hope we all have for our basketball programs. The women’s team has been doing its part.

Definitely high expectations for the Lady Spiders, but they at least have one year of experience of being the team with the target on its back for the A10 schedule. Now they will likely get the best from the OOC schedule too.

Got to like everything coming out from the Women’s program. Wonder when the Men will catch up?

Love that we are embracing the high expectations.

That said, #19 to start the season is very ambitious IMO. Do i think we have a chance to be that good - - absolutely. But even in a pretty best case scenario, I think that has to be later in the season when this group has found its identity and starts to jell. Last years group was so experienced and fit their system so very well. This years group is going to need some time to figure things out and identify a few people to fill kep spots and then fully integrate them.

But I do love the message and the culture and that gives me great hope and belief that we can and will get there.
