Russia Under Pressure

This is another very significant statement by Igor "Strelkov" Girkin. Girkin historically criticized Putin from the right. He is still in jail, but his wife publishes these statements on his behalf. He points out that once Russia begins a full mobilization, the society will collapse.

He stated the following:

For more than two years, we have been losing personnel, mobilized recruits, and volunteers, and we are farther from victory than at the beginning of the invasion of Ukraine."

It has become clear that: a) money is running out; b) meat is running out; c) the enemy has learned to fight."

During this time, Ukraine has strengthened, while Russia has only weakened — you cannot break the enemy by capturing a few hundred destroyed houses."

Putin's ruling circle is not capable of reforms and sacrifice, because the country must make the sacrifice, not them."

Revolution is inevitable — it is better if it happens from above, but hope is slim: we have not just a club of old people, but a gathering of old hedonists. They operate the meat grinder until resources run out, then mobilization will happen, and after that — collapse," says Girkin.

It's about time, been threatening penalties for months. Now send the Tomahawks.
Trump is making the same errors as Biden. Except Trump will make a decision, talk to Putin and change his mind. The US has been a fickle ally, starting with Obama, but it accelerated under Biden and it's even worse under Trump 2.0. Trump is the opposite of resolute.

This is an article by retired 4 star General, Jack Keane. This factoid is significant.

Leaked Russian government documents indicate that country suffered on average 35,000 casualties per month from January–September 2025.

Yet it is cutting down on one-time signing bonuses for new military recruits.

Here is the Forbes list of Russian companies with the most debt.
The two largest are

1) Gazprom ranked first with net debt of around 6 trillion rubles ($76.2 billion).
2) Rosneft followed with about 3.6 trillion rubles ($45.8 billion) in debt

Russia's economy is now feeling the pressure from oil sanctions that have finally kicked in as of November 21. Roughly about 80 to 100 million barrels of Russian oil is stuck on the high seas. Some of the oil they continue to produce has been placed in empty tankers, pushing up the price to rent existing tankers.

"The price of Russia’s flagship oil grade is down around 17% since the U.S. sanctions were announced as international demand drops....

The new U.S. measures have also left tens of millions of barrels of sanctioned oil stranded at sea and made shipping crude more expensive. Total oil on water—including crude in transit and stored in tankers—reached 1.4 billion barrels this week, according to Vortexa, an energy and shipping analytics firm....

About 240 million barrels of oil have built up on the sea since the end of August to mid-November, said David Wech, chief economist at Vortexa. Of those, roughly a third are sanctioned barrels—with some would-be buyers wary of taking delivery, at least temporarily.

The United States is a fickle partner on the world stage. Our friends and allies cannot depend on us.

Clinton got Ukraine to give up its nukes and signed an agreement with Ukraine, the UK and Russia, that the US would guarantee Ukrainian sovereignty.

Bush ignored Russia's invasion of Georgia.

Obama oversaw the continued disarmament of Ukraine and did nothing when Russia invaded Ukraine in 2014.

Biden withdrew from Afghanistan and did nothing to stop Russia's invasion in 2022. He gave Ukraine weapons, but in a halting manner. Then Biden tied their hands on the use of those weapons.

Now we get Trump. He has been hot and cold on Ukraine. The rest of us have developed whiplash, trying to follow his policy towards Ukraine over the last 10 months. Trump has placed potentially crippling sanctions on Russian, but now wants Ukraine to sign a terrible peace agreement by Thanksgiving. We will add this to the list of really stupid mind-binding steps that Trump has taken towards Ukraine.

This is appeasement of the worst kind. It will only foment more war.

U.S. Army Secretary Daniel Driscoll presented Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Thursday with a version of the 28-point plan President Donald Trump’s special envoy Steve Witkoff recently drafted with Russian envoy Kirill Dmitriev.

That plan, which has been leaked in the press and confirmed by several officials, included several red lines for Ukraine, including a massive reduction of its army size and ceding territory to Russia that it has not yet conquered militarily.
