Media talking points - Chris Mooney by the numbers

Caputo at GW tried to get in the mix by splitting the difference yesterday, turning a 21 point lead into a 7 point loss - 28 point turnaround. Funnily enough they extended him last November. I believe that as of his 2nd year in 2023 he was making 900k. But 2 extensions since then, now under contract through 2030.

Loyola Chicago and GW had some of the highest NIL in the conference and you see where that got them. That’ll probably be us next year. More like GW than Loyola though.

Pathetic.

VCU has had like 5 coaching changes during Mooney’s tenure with all leaving because of great success and grabbed by a bigger program. It has been a stepping stone for up and coming coaches. They keep finding great coaches who want to coach there due to the school’s commitment to success. VCU us a coaching factory.
Add that to Mooney’s numbers.
UR 1 coach- Mooney-21 years - 3 NCAA appearances.
VCU 5 Coaches- 21 years -13 NCAA appearances. Soon to be 14.
I root for VCU because I want them to embarrass UR’s admin at this point. They have a serious program with seriou people running it, unlike the pathetic Spiders.

3 in 21 is good enough for Queally and Hardt. That was reinforced. By Hardt a week ago by bringing Moon back next year before infamous 30 and 15.

Odds are in 3 more years of CM it’ll be 3 in 24.
