There’s bad Spider defense and then there is this game that’s somehow even worse.

Is there a limit on embarrassing defensive performances per season?

One thing i'm noticing today is we seem tentative in our passing. Hustling though--still time to put it together!

Absolutely brutal half. We are SO bad on defense. Ball watching, leaving shooters wide open in the corner, giving up easy offensive rebounds. Sometimes our offense is good enough to hide it, but on a day where we’re just running the weave and settling for contested jumpers, this is what you get.

This team has 9-9 written all over it. I had a little hope with the win at the Bonnies we would be better but then Bonnies lost to Fordham at home and we are coming at super flat. This season we’ve had one of the poorest defensive efforts I’ve seen. We cannot be going up 45 first half points to a bad Saint Joe’s team at home.

One bad half??? Defense has been atrocious all season. That comment from the announcer is so damping of Mooney after 20 effing years he watches a game and changes his mind on offensive rebounding. U can't even make this stuff up.
We may win this game if St Joe's can start bricking open 3s, which is possible

Context matters. Sure we may be tied. But who did they lose too and who did we lose too. Hopefully a second half run happens but you can’t say “hey we’re tied with vcu” they’ve looked better than us all year.

And Walz and Beagle each had plays where the defensive player ended up on the wrong side and they did not even look at the basket. Ugghh.

I've only been posting a few weeks but I've never seen you say one nice thing about our team or program. All you do is like the snide and anti Richmond posts.

One thing i'll say--this comeback (look how hard they are playing) proves they love Coach.

I was on a bad team back in high school, and sadly people quit on coach. Stopped cheering from bench, ignored instructions etc. None of that going on here.
