Optimism still reigns for me in the early season and hope to see the 2nd half team that handled JMU versus than what we saw last night. Spiders 73 - ECU 68.
Memphis won the league last year, but the new-look Tigers face stiff competition from South Florida, Tulsa and others

Kenpom predicts 76-70 Spiders win.
I think in general terms, we are going to need AJ and Johnston to score a combined 25 per game to be a legit top half of the A10 team. Interested to see what Argabright does in this step up. Like Kevin Anderson, I am thinking if we have a chance to be competitive this year we need to let him play good minutes early, and potentially be a dude by Jan/Feb. Tyne looked good - hopefully can get same shots off and finish at rim still vs. D1 size and athleticism. I am hopeful on him.
Giovanni Emejuru transferred to ECU from Mason and scored 8 pts in each of his games against us and had 8 rebounds in game 1 and 5 rebounds in game 2. Imagine he gets similar numbers on Saturday.
Sounds like ECU only has one primary scoring threat from last year returning, so a rebuilding year. I like the fact that the Spiders are playing at home and expect a win, but imagine it will be fairly close just like the JMU exhibition, another team with size but not much else.
