Well being at both the Loyola game and the game last night, I have watched us unable to tie the game with a 3 - so frustrating especially last night when there wasn't even a shot. Pretty sure we never had leads in either of these games.

Will Saturday be different?

It’s a tough question. In most regards, I’m sort of a ncaa or bust fan, so if we make it by AQ then great. But we’d still have had a terrible season and it will mask the problem.

But it ain’t gonna happen so that hypothetical can kick rocks.

Yep going back to campus fits in more with the academic oriented/pseudo Patriot Ivy league narrative. While staying in Pitt fits more with all in to win , which Mooney hates to embrace.

I'm good with the travel. it's a 2 hr chartered flight ... no hardship there.

It’s possible the A10 pays for travel cost to the tournament too. That might be a factor. But idk. If they do that might mean bus ride to Pitt. The ncaa has mile limitations on bus vs plane for instance in NCAAs. But if we do return I think we normally go up an extra day earlier so Monday with early Wed game in order to get practice in at PPG Tues.

Flying home right after the game to get in around 7:30pm, returning to Pittsburgh on Monday.

The Spiders will fly back to Pittsburgh Monday, and then practice at PPG Paints Arena Tuesday. UR’s decision-makers did consider remaining in Pittsburgh following Saturday’s game at Duquesne. Richmond begins spring break Monday, so no class time would be missed.

But the Spiders determined returning to Richmond Saturday night and then making a separate tournament trip would be more sensible financially, and for other reasons.

Duquesne is not a bad team at all. I know we’ve had their number over many years, but I don’t think this game is an easy win either. We’re basically locked in the 11 seed. Do we rest players to avoid injury/fatigue for a hopeful 5 day stretch in the A10 tournament?
