Former Spiders (non grads) transfers with eligibility remaining for '25-26

100 pct agree. Another player Moon said he needed to find more time for only to see him get less and less mins before he eventually was injured. We’ll never know since he wasn’t given real chance as Spider.

Do we have other GW3’s on the bench this year?
only if we make them into bench players ..

None of these guys are exactly lighting it up at their new programs. Seems there was reason for them to be on the bench here. I think the underlying issue is that we’re recruiting players who end up transferring to low tier D1 or even D2 schools and not even contributing that much there. Then we bring in new recruits who have offers from places like Stonehill and wonder why things aren’t getting better. Our recruiting needs to get significantly better.
💯 this.

I think the CM strategy Has often been to find diamonds in the rough rather than just get a bunch of sapphires.

GW III plays at Illinois tonight. Big step up from first game obviously - where they played a non D1 team. He did have 10 points, 5 boards and 3 steals. Does not look like his brother BB got in the first game.
4700 may end up being right on this one, and Gw3 was not really an A10 level player.....but when we had SEVERAL guys that could not guard a traffic cone last year, he should have got more of a chance.

Yep. And I hate to say it, but it seems Tanner is that same guy now. Tanner has shown some ability to grab rebounds and make open shots - but similar to Noyes very lacking in ability to move laterally on D, make plays off dribble, and impact game in other ways. But Mooney seems intent on playing him (I guess we will see starting tomorrow) as many minutes as he can. Seems like a great guy and hope he proves me wrong, but he seems like the Noyes guy this season.
Tanner and AP are 2 guys on our roster that need to get less time this year in favor of guys like Harper and McGlothin. Let the young guys play, they might not be all that great either but we know what we have in Tanner and AP.

Tanner might do OK against our OOC competition but as you point out this lack of lateral quickness makes him a liability against A-10 competition.

Tanner and AP will at least give you rebounding support and Tanner will at times attack the lane. Honestly AP
has been my biggest disappointment since he came from a championship UCONN team. AP could be a third sub at times for center position if there is foul trouble.

As mentioned in the other thread, Ryan Soulis played 19 minutes off the bench and scored 6 with 3 rebounds. Will be very interesting to see how he develops given he has 2 more years of eligibility after this year. I assume he is a junior from an academic perspective and if so, he will need to find a new home for his final year given Ivy League roles prohibiting grad students from competing in athletics.

I agree. There were plenty of times last year when everyone should have gotten some good minutes. During one of our many games where we couldn't get stops and/or couldn't score, the rotation guys should have all sat and we should have gone with Graham, GW3, d'entremont, Jrob, and Bryson. And I am being serious.

GW3 finished with 3 points on 1-7 shooting (1-6 from 3) in 18 minutes. He had Noyes type 0s everywhere else, which seems hard to do in 18 minutes.

Big win for Youngstown State at Grand Canyon. Jaynel with 8 points on 28% shooting. GCU is supposed to be good this year.

See Mooney what can happen when u schedule some games. You might actually win.
