I do hate now that we're at the point where you have to release a statement when a freshman is returning to campus, but these guys are basically just pros playing on one year agreements at this point. Have to shift my mindset to that.

Come on we know what happened. One of the big donors found out about the post on the Forum and asked for whoever posted it to retract. Same thing happened to an 80sFan post on the old board.

That looks to be exactly what happened either from a donor or admin. Spiderinsider has since deleted all but 2 messages. Those 2 messages being the initial post from this thread the user started and the other one being the initial post about “ask me anything” thread that is now on page 2. Probably because you can’t delete a thread once making one.

I figured it was assumed but I can say now with confidence that big donors/admin read this forum.

In this case, I don’t blame them for wanting the poster to take things down. Information about player’s NIL salary aren’t things we publicly (or should publicly share in my opinion) so I can understand why it was requested to be taken down.

I've heard details on a few NIL deals the last few years. never heard any talk about multi-year deals. is that a thing now? I guess everything is negotiable, but there's downside to both parties on a multi-year deal.

My understanding is the NIL contracts have an NDA provision with teeth. Since only AA and staff would likely know any figures easy to see why taken down.
