Yep its crazy. SDSU didnt have a great season this year (even though on the bubble), and lots of doom and gloom among fan base and message boards. But the you have 66 YO Dutcher in the media and on YouTube addressing the portal, scheduling, coaching, players and how he plans to fix for next season. You have VCU extending their coach. But just nothing from Richmond, though looks loke a random tweet from JOC about adding size.

Big article today in RTD about VCU and their plans to increase NIL and what it would take for them to retain each of their top players. Meanwhile, we get this recycled crap from JOC.
JOC, Mooney and Hardt are perfect together. JOC doesn't want to have to work too hard to get new content and Mooney and Hardt are happy to oblige because keeping our program out of the media means it is not subjected to any potential scrutiny. Win-win.
All three are coasting to the finish line.
I think this article may be the one that Bob Black referenced on yesterday’s show that was happening as I drove home yesterday. Bob was mentioning that the VCU coach incentives used to include a kicker for beating UR. Of course now there is no such bonus and Bob said a UR goal should be to get that item back in the VCU coaching contract.
He also said that his road to UR success next year was to retain AA, add a center and a 6-6 or taller wing player. Such out of the box thinking.

If we only bring in those 2 players with our same roster next year, we are not finishing higher than 8th in the A-10.
"It was just harder for us to get 2 point shots this season". That quote alone is worth firing a coach over. Who else would say such nonsense? My goodness, no rule said we had to start 4 guards. No rule said we had to play our 6'11 guy 20 feet from the basket. No rule said we couldn't play Walz and Beagle together. No rule said we could only play Daughtry 16 mpg. This is just maddening. My, goodness, if something is too "hard" for us, why not try to fix it at some point instead of just waiting till the year is over and saying "it was just too hard". Unbelievable. It's like game 5 or 6 or whatever, Mooney just looked at his assistants and said, "we can't make 2s this year...it's just too hard" and left it at that without trying anything else. Our program continues to disgust me. What an embarrassment to all of us.

Mooney postgame analysis is really pitiful. It is either we need shoot better, play with more intensity throughout the game, or we need to make thing a little bit more uncomfortable for the other team. Literally every game, that his analysis.
If my kid was playing middle school ball, I would expect better insights/feedback from that coach. Heck, I would expect better insights from the middle school kids themselves.
