Cutter Sisk - 2026 Offer

btw ... while UR is unquestionably the better school, I'm not suggesting Sisk should come here just because of that. just like a kid shouldn't choose Davidson just because it's ranked higher than UR. there's a lot to weigh when picking a school. hopefully we check all of Cutter's boxes ... not just academic ranking.

Yes, many factors. On the basketball side, and I do think the staff uses this - we can show tape and stats that the big men in our system actually get the ball, and can pass shoot etc. In addition to better conference and other "pro" basketball factors, this would be a primary influence - hopefully.

I'd love to be a big man in Mooney's system.
I'd kinda love to be a scoring PG, too!

Un effing believable. Big recruiting loss for moon man. I know, cue up sman - he might have a girlfriend blah blah blah. I don't care what the circumstance, this is a BAD L. I bet the HC dad is ordering up escort service big time tonight.

Happy Effing Friday Spidernation!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just don't get it...this is the type of kid that should be a slam dunk for us. He's the prototypical Mooney 5-man, we have a huge need for a 5 in the future, Mooney consistently says we need to focus on high school recruits, and the best competing offer just had a coaching change and mini-scandal. Yet we STILL can't get it done.

I know you can't win em all and the portal will be there for us, but it's super frustrating.

It's typical, expected Mooney.

I think it comes down to playing time as a freshman and it will be interesting to see how many minutes he logs for Wofford.

Maybe Mooney will get him to come as a transfer after his first 1-2 years in the Southern Conference.

Native, he had as clear path as you could ask for with Richmond. When we signed Homenick, everyone thought he was a PWO, not a scholarship guy. Yes, we could get a transfer, but so could every D1 team. Wouldn't bet on the transfer route, let's say he does blow up - better chance skip Spiders for power conference $. Just a bad L any way you slice this one.

Not justifying it. I agree it is a bad sign that UR can’t land a player over the other lower rated teams (see all my prior posts) that were in this final four.

I am just guessing that it came down to a promise on playing time year one. There is no doubt that the Spiders will get a big from the portal and said theoretical player would get more minutes than a freshman.

Trying to find something positive, I am thinking that perhaps there is a chance that the Spiders get Sisk when they would play him for significant minutes - in two years.

Why Wofford:

Phenom: What made Wofford the place for you in the end?
Sisk: Coach Giltner was a huge part of it but also it was mainly just my gut decision. It was so close between all four schools.

Phenom: What about the program really stood out to you?
Sisk: Definitely the culture of the team and the opportunity to come in right away and make an impact.

Phenom: How would you best describe your game?
Sisk: I would say I am best around the basket but I can take any mismatch inside or out.

Phenom: You mentioned the relationship with the staff. Talk about the importance of that?
Sisk: It has been awesome getting to know him and building that relationship, and knowing that he truly cares and wants me as a player.
