At Davidson

Competed.

If Lopez dumps it off to Daughtry under the hoop at the end instead of throwing up whatever that shot was - tie game. But end of game situations isn’t always a strong suit.

Greg Herenda, simply the worst color announcer I've heard this year. Truly awful. If he had one decent point, he shouted 20 idiocies afterward.

I'm pretty sure his pbp guy was either ignoring him or just resting his voice to shout some more, because the pregnant pauses after Herenda spewed yet another terrible non-sentence were many. My personal favorite was when he started listing the Curry family by name, as if they had personally given coach Nepo a playbook of what to run with 1 second on the shot clock, yet never made any connection to the point he was trying to make. Just kept saying names into the ether.

The game - fun 10 minutes of the 2nd half. Fun to watch Aiden try to win the game. We ran some pick & rolls and got Robinson on the roll a few times! It works way better than the weave.

Not so fun the first half. I guess Walz is now going out as an aggressive / passive shooter, meaning he aggressively shoots more fadeaways and long 3s. I find it hilarious that we run the elevator doors play to get Walz a 3 at the beginning of games and halves a lot now, yet never run it for any of our guards.

Also not fun was knowing that with 8.2s left, almost zero chance UR would get a good shot off. I've seen Moon's end half/ end game work many, many, many times. Kevin Anderson is not here to save late game possessions.

Hard to crush the staff for this one though I'm sure some of you will try. Losing a key player such as Beagle for the season before the game even tips changes everything from rotations and psyches, to game plan, and confidence. These problems are magnified that much more on the road where it is already more difficult for any team to secure a win in conference. Just a few weeks ago we had few answers at home for this same team, and now shorthanded, we were right there until the end in their building. That’s growth, plain and simple.

No moral victories in the standings, sure, but our guys competed, adjusted, and showed real resilience under brutal circumstances. That speaks to preparation and buy-in, not coaching failure and on that front the staff absolutely did their job. Road games are hard enough with your full lineup and asking for a clean win without one of your best players vs a powerful conference foe is unrealistic.

Didn't watch, but saw the last play. Do we even try to draw up late game plays? What the heck was that? You can't get off a worse look than that. But, as others have said, kind of expected because we have seen it way too many times.

Looking forward to hearing how proud our coach was of the effort. We are a mid level CAA team. Have been all year.

This is so fake. Hope u are enjoying your silly charade. That is all I will say.

Guys played hard. Can’t buy a break, but you have to create and earn your breaks.

I thought JR had some nice plays. AA one tough player.

Put Davidson in the column of another team currently owning Mooney. Another season sweep.

I can crush a staff that’s been here way too long. Basically overstayed your welcome. It’s really awkward waiting for someone to leave.

Powerful conference foe? My guy, they’re 8-5 in conference, hardly a juggernaut.

You can slow your roll on the PR initiative, this group isn’t buying it.
