I have a funny feeling Loyola's admin will be like ours and he will have a very long rope. Like our team last season, he is probably selling g the idea that the high turnover of the portal each year, can lead to a season where the chemistry is just bad. Looking at his coaching record seems pretty solid other than this season. But boy this is epic putrid.

Ed McLaughlin, athletics director for VCU, was arrested in June for DUI after crashing his Cadillac into a ditch in Northern Virginia. McLaughlin’s charges were later downgraded to reckless driving.

Any trial lawyers out there please correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe its highly unusual for a DUI to be reduced to reckless driving. Either you take the DUI test and fail it and are arrested, or you refuse to take the test which implies guilt and you are also arrested. He either had a very good lawyer or got preferential treatment of some sort, seems like both more than likely.Sorry for the paywall ..
