2025 Richmond Spiders Football - Countdown - Lehigh

over the next few weeks fans will hear a lot about this rematch between last season's FCS Playoff opponents...many believe the game to be the biggest of the year in the Patriot League...I sure hope these experts are right!

but what's more important is does it turn out to be a great game!...a competitive battle between the two teams favored to finish one and two in the Patriot preseason poll...if the Spiders can hold their own against Lehigh on the road, win or lose, I believe we'll be in a season long battle for the Patriot League title...a lot of football will be played after August 30!

a solid well played game versus the Engineers will mean we've filled the gaps left by attrition with talented and hungry young players...Lehigh is an FCS Playoff caliber team...the Spiders know that already...I'm looking forward to seeing how we battle the Patriot League's best!

I just got it.... 32 counter references a football counter play and 32 means the number of times you practiced it in peewee football.

Watching this game, the announcers said almost half of the teams trips to the red zone end in field goals. We got field goals and they got touchdowns. I can't watch it again. It was a disaster.
