UR swimming

Just watch UR defeat JMU 151-148 in swimming, on ESPN+. We won the final relay to come from behind. Swimming is a fun sport, I helped to cover it for SID when I worked at OSU. Missy Franklin came in for a meet and it was huge.

Looking through the windows on the diving board end of the pool, what happened to the old auxiliary gym? Looks like it is now some kind of fitness area. Is there a new gym for intramural/pickup basketball games?

I spent a ton of time in that gym after it opened midway through my freshman year. They even had beer blasts in there. I know the court in Milhiser is gone, that was also a fun place to play the rare times you could sneak in and play.

LOL, it's been a while since you've been on campus! The auxiliary gym area was turned into the Weinstein Center fitness facility, opened back in 2007. New construction as part of the project added an adjacent three-court gym with elevated walking/jogging track around the perimeter.

I remember lots of beer parties in Millhiser as an undergrad. Those back stairs down to the bathrooms were treacherous!
