We breakdown the good and bad of both teams coming out of Thanksgiving tournaments and give a quick primer on Loyola (W) and Belmont (M) for this week. It ends with a quote from Versace of all places.
Mooney in Spider gear outside of practice at the Robins Center. I was surprised.
I think the Belmont game is a bit over-hyped, but that is what happens when the OOC is filled with low level, home contests. Of course I want the Spiders to win, but a win won’t be anything more than a positive sign.

I doubt Belmont is anywhere near a Q1 team.
I think Furman is a good SoCon team. I think we're about the same. hopefully we keep developing and become more.
If we win vs Belmont it will be the first sign imo that we could be a post season contender. You have to be able to beat good teams on the road. And this is the only good team we play on the road in our non con. Winning it does not equal post season, but it at least keeps aspirations moving in the right direction.

Yep would be a positive sign. Winning on the road in conference is what the Spiders were able to do when they tied for 1st place in the regular season standings two years ago.
