Wow. Just wow.

I agree with VT, WOW! Just bad, nice to see metrics around it. I wonder is this was presented to Hardt by someone he knows and trusts in confidence, what he would say? Probably just shrug and say we are working on it, and looking at some things in the spring.

Were we 8/1 in 2022, but with 4 of the wins being after the regular season?

Great research VT and agree it’s deserving of its own thread. This is only another, of the many, examples as to why this notion of being “materially outspent” is ridiculous. Forget the lack of Q1/2 wins which itself is unacceptable. That fact that in 4 years, we have 34 Q3/4 losses. 34?! That’s staggering. Thats us losing to teams we should not be losing too which should be unacceptable for a school of our caliber. Let alone 34 times! I’m willing to bet that a good portion of that was lost at home too.

This is not a “materially outspent” issue and it’s clear as day to anyone who objectively assesses our program.

I'm convinced that our basketball program is a play toy or a hobby for Q & H (the ones who should be assessing our program). They're having a good ole time playing leaders. And they let this thing continue to head south as they hob-knob with NIL Frat Bros & UR Hierarchy. Great job, fellas. Looking forward to next year with more of the same.

If I sucked this bad at a hobby, I would find a new one.

2 out of 3 good years earlier, but if the last 2 years are a trend…

Oh, boy!

If the last 2 years are a trend,
Then we have problem my friend
Our leaves are blowing in the wind

The other thing to consider is this, because of our very easy OOC scheduling, we’re unlikely to have many more Q1/2 opportunities in non-conference play and will have to depend mostly in A10 play for those kinds of games. So this discrepancy may only further increase over the years.

It will if you don't try.

Yes I see all of that, but has everyone here considered:

  • 10 wins last year and 15 this year, trending up?
  • We competed
  • Argabright is very good and might come back
  • We graduate most of our scoring, meaning the players that lost a lot of games the last couple years won't be here anymore
  • Stability provided by a long term coach
  • We know our nil budget is too low and may potentially do something about it
