OOC check in - nothing has changed

My guess if he was transferring and it is known by the staff, he would not be even on the bench.
Why would u say this? I have not known any future transfers to not still be on teams before they leave. I know it's more common to have the transfer talk with the coach right after the season, but I think the way things are now, it wouldn't surprise me at all if a player and his parents have the talk during the season. But, he could also have a legitimate injury. I am just throwing my opinion out there while knowing nothing about the situation, and I doubt anyone would be surprised if he is elsewhere next year.

If he has a legit injury, is he eligible for a medical redshirt after last years developmental one?

I literally have no idea what the rules are these days. Feels like guys lobby for 7 years to play 8.

SF would know better, but I believe so.
played less than 30% of games and the injury seems to have occurred before the start of the second half of the season.

I wonder if the new availability reports have any impact on this. He wasn’t listed as out until January 24.

My guess is he is transferring, so maybe it is a mutual thing for him not to play anymore?
Well, JOC mentioned this morning that Beagle is out for the season and Harper is still out with an ankle injury in his injury updates. But no mention of McGothlin. So that is weird.

But yeah, my guess is he is gone after the season. He's been here 2 years and hasn't seen the floor. If your a player who wants to play, why would you stay?

interesting point. maybe you could argue an injured kid was a game time decision for a while before shutting him down for the season.

My point is only if he came to CM and said this is it, I am out here next year. Many coaches may say fine, go clean out your locker, especially if you were at the very end of the lineup. Honestly, would you expect to be on the bench or travel with team on the schools dime? It is another thing for CM to tell him that he does not expect to play him the rest of the year and you don’t need to dress out. There are no facts about what exactly is going on with McG, so this is a mute point and purely speculation.

Playing a couple of cupcakes isn’t helping any season. It just hides that you have zero confidence in your team. You don’t wish to challenge them and play any games that will matter. Instead play some teams that will ruin your post season odds.
