Mooney’s Coaching Tree (including former players)

I find it interesting former Richmond Assistant Marcus Jenkins who was at Richmond when Zach Chu was a Sr. , is the Associate Head Coach under Zach Chu at Radford.

People hire people they know and trust. I credit him with hiring someone who is older and has more experience. Many folks here have suggested CM would benefit from this himself.

After a good start (against an OOC that looked like ours), the wheels are falling off for Hovde and Columbia. Lost 5 of last 7.

Per Gemini there are 62 new coaches this year, so top 26%!
I think that number is coaches in their first year at a given school, so it includes some guys who were previously D-I head coaches elsewhere.

In fact, both Gemini and ChatGPT claim the number of guys in their first year coaching at the D-I level is 18 lol. I do not have the energy to manually check that.
