Kaiser to Richmond per Jeff Goodman

wow! whatever we're paying MoJo, he should get bonused on this.
the best transfer we've landed since King. actually might be one of our best overall recruits ever ... a guy scoring 10 ppg at Butler?

Let’s go!! This is what I’m talking about. We CAN get these caliber of recruits. Well done to the staff. Mojo already playing a big role and hasn’t even stepped on campus yet. Produced well at Butler offensively but love reading the comments about his strong defense ability as well. Great start to the transfer portal!

Exactly, you need to be resourceful to get guys, like hire a new coach or something Mooney. So many players in the portal you need to try every avenue. But yes, we should not have been settling for low/ low mid major one way players last two years. Let's get another one.

More info on our next recruit. #73 ranked on ESPN in class of 2023. #75 on 247. Our highest ranked recruit ever. GW3 was #97 on ESPN.

I imagine he will play the 3 for us or at least I hope he does. Same size as Connor Crabtree. Can see him play the 4 as well.

Shoots well from the 3 at 35%. Seems like a good rebounder. Highlights (below) show mostly 3 point shooting but imagine he can drive well to the basket too.

Sat out first year at Butler (after transferrring from MD) due to ankle injury requiring surgery. So has two years eligibility - which is nice - though seems like everthing is year by year now.

Pretty efficient multi-dimensional scoring with a relatively low usage rate, hopefully he can take more shots here. Anyone have any idea what his defense is like? The rebounding, steal, and block stats don't tell much of a story.

agreed but let's not be naive. we don't get a guy like Kaiser on a budget NIL package like we ran the last couple years, even with his coach in fold.

"The 6-foot-6 guard/forward emerged as one of Butler's top perimeter defenders. He's a willing rebounder on both ends of the floor and contributes to the game without being a focal point of the offense. Matta lauded Kaiser for his willingness to sacrifice shots on offense and embrace doing the dirty work for the team."

How much you thinking? My guess is $800K-1 million range. At most $1.25 million. If AA got $750K there’s no way Kaiser is getting less than that. Especially with his level of production at Butler this year.

would have led UR in rebounding for non-centers. tied AA in steals.

who knows. I'd think you offer him the same as AA. I can't see $1M. can't fill out a roster if top 2 are getting almost half of the budget.

I think if we are operating at $4.75 million like I mentioned before, that we can fit the budget I proposed.

Top 3-4 players (including AA) - $3.75 million
Let’s say AA + Kaiser are around $1.75 million combined. That leaves another $2 million to land 1 or 2 really good players like Kaiser.
That would leave the next 6-7 the remaining $1 million
Everyone else - No NIL or whatever minimal NIL is left over.
