Well still bummed about most things about today's game but team and fans need to regroup since we play again in < 20 hours. Spiders rebound 78-62.
This is what I was saying in a different way on the Furman thread. The OOC outcomes are meaningless. Granted since the schedule is so poor, the expectation is that there will be a record with double digit wins and a few losses max. Still on pace for that sort of outcome, so there is hope that the team will be able to finish in the top half of the conference and hopefully better. I agree that the next few games will tell us about the team resilience and getting some wins away from home would be another positive sign.We were out of an at-large contention the moment our schedule was announced. Now, I'm curious to see how this team responds these next 2 games. Charlotte will probably be a similar caliber team as Furman and Belmont will be the best team we face OOC. How we respond will determine whether we finish 8-10th in conference or whether this team is capable of contending for a top 4 seed and hopes of A10 title.
Yes I was at the game ... i sadly pretty much eliminated thoughts of heading to the Belmont game after what I saw todaySmells like a 7-point loss to me. Didn't they house us last year too?
Waltz is not yet at level he was at end of last year. His lateral movement and jumping8 rebounds in 8 minutes for Beagle. He is a beast right now.
