Game Thread - URI @RC Wed 1/21 7p ESPN+

Question for those of you at the game. I noticed that on the broadcast that as soon as the game ended the band started playing and cheerleaders immediately ran out to dance. It was so quick that at first I wondered if the cheerleaders thought that we had won.
I wasn’t at last night’s game, but did watch and had the same reaction as you. I don’t recall seeing this before, but then again I don’t stick around long after the end of games either.

No they have a new routine this year where they go onto the court win or lose.

Actually, and of course I know because in missed our GW game, VCU does the same thing. Same thing happened at their New Mexico loss. Must being taught at cheer school

Well damn, you sure do know a lot about the ins and outs of how VCU does things, despite never attending our games in person, despite being a HUGE spider fan.

One can't go to other college basketball games either? It's actually become a trendy thing (ala Cole Adams or Aaron Margo) to go on a college basketball barnstorming tour. One can't attend a VCU game? I told you all I was at the CSU debacle.

and praised our coach after it........

Like others have said here, there was a point late in the second half where we all knew exactly how this game would end.

Is it always like that after a loss, especially a close loss? I haven’t noticed it before but maybe I just wasn’t looking for it. It reinforced to me that the administration is just happy to be playing basketball and the outcome isn’t as important as everybody being around the campfire singing kumbaya.
So were they playing KC and the Sunshine band? Thats the way…
