Game Thread - GW @ RC New Years Eve 4pm ESPN+

Now you guys have me wondering, where would Woolfolk play in the current basketball environment?
He was a great player, but with the 3 pointer and great guard play being such a huge factor now, the game has changed dramatically.

He played when the game was still my power forward against your power forward every game. Most teams pretty much had true 1-5 positions out there with fewer 3 guard lineups. His 1st 2 years, the 3 pointer didn't exist and his last 2 years, when it did exist, teams didn't shoot them much. He had his way with lesser power forwards a lot back then. Now, he would be facing many bigger, stronger, quicker, taller athletes, many who could shoot the 3.

We were 2.1 for 6.7 and 3.5 for 8.0 AS A TEAM from 3 his final 2 years. Not saying he couldn't or wouldn't be good now, but he wouldn't have the same stats playing the same way he did, and he would definitely need good shooters around him.

That is why I asked. How many teams average 7 or 8 attempts from 3 per game nowadays?

We were up to almost 14 attempts per game by 1993, Kenny Woods senior year.

Although I guess more attempts also gives guys more room to maneuver inside…

JRob plays position #5, #4 & #3 in one game for 1-2 minutes. How can anyone play defense or offense consistently?
Agreed, really hard to get in any sort of rhythm the way Mooney has been rotating guys. As many people on the board have pointed out, the constant subbing in and out is often detrimental to the guys. From the limited amount we've seen this year, I'm not sure JRob is a 5 in this system. Especially in A 10 play, almost every team has a big man that he will be significantly undersized against. He needs to show more defensively when he does get his opportunities to continue to get minutes IMO. But I love the athleticism and agree with others he needs more minutes. He's kind of got the Draymond Green build but with a different set of skills which is intriguing.
