Solid outing for the ladies tonight. Maggie didn't need to do it all tonight and in fact only took 10 shots (made 4). Ally played perhaps her best game ever as a Spider with 19 points on 7-10 shooting (5-7 from 3) and a very solid 13 assists as the offense ran through her a good deal more than we usually see. Rachel has found her jumper again and hit 6-7 threes on the way to a game leading 26. Newell played despite the questionable tag and was very solid across the board in her 20 minutes as she too outscored Maggie.

Still searching for more beyond the big three but they eat up a lot of usage so its tough for others. I still think Simon finding her game is really crucial to the post-season prospects.

Sweeney looks smooth as glass with some great assists. You get double figures from 4 starters
and you are usually going to win. Newell was a welcome sight.

When Sweeney brings the ball up the floor, I feel comfortable that she will handle the pressure and direct the offense. She is an excellent point guard and she shined last night! The whole team played great, even with the Dayton defender blanketing Maggie all night.

The best thing about last night’s game was that the team played well without relying on Maggie. There have definitely been games this year where Maggie was deferring in the 1st half and had to step up in the 2nd. This time the Spiders did not rely on her scoring in either half.

Announcers made statement towards end of Q3 about how you defend UR: blanket Doogan and let others
try to beat you, focus on guards, play zone and make Spiders shoot outside or blanket rest of team and let
Doogan get her points. Announcers said Spiders proved they have more weapons than just Doogan.
