2025 Richmond Spiders Football - Opponents Countdown - Bucknell

This is actually the first game where I wasn’t completely annoyed with the offensive play calling . I’ll take three interceptions and 28 points over one interception and 14 points every day. I wish we had gotten those bad interceptions out of our system in weeks one and two rather than week five, so I’m still putting this on the coaches, But at least it wasn’t miserable to watch.

Perhaps had the run the qb until he is hurt offense been abandoned in spring training, interceptions might not be an issue in the Fall.

Two observations:

1) You found your QB - stick with him, maybe move Wickersham to (pass catching) TE?

2) Someone on the board lamented how the PL was a downgrade compared to the CAA. I think we can put a pin in that balloon. You till have Lafayette and Colgate to ahead and they are getting better with each passing game.
Please go find another tree to piss on. PL or CAA it does not matter we are not a good program this year,
with many missing links.

Do not comprehend. Conference Champions last two years, undefeated in CAA last year, and three consecutive playoffs appearances. What do you want? With respect. would not want you with a cap and a whistle on the sideline.
Conference championships mean nothing if you don’t go deep in the playoffs.

You’re fresh meat and we are many years out being frustrated with our athletic department accepting a descent into a below level of less than even being mediocre and being totally on board and accepting of that descent and the corresponding results in football and men’s basketball.

Our Men’s revenue sports are pathetic. Now yes Huesman has had some good years but losing 11
to the Portal tells me that all is not right. I always hired key personnel that could at some point replace me.
I know we have limited budget but is Russ truly hiring the best he can get? Wood has been consistent at DC
and has stayed with us but look at the OC merrygoround. There is absolutely no consistency and now with Little
H at Co OC , I am not encouraged with our chances for success

To give Snelshire some pats on the back for a good effort but too many mistakes. He reminds
me of Kyle Lauletta who made many poor decisions at the same stage but look where he ended
with UR. Snelshire is gaining experience with a young line and next year he could be a Lauletta
clone. He is a better option then Wickersham.

He’s quicker and much more agile getting out of the pocket than #16.In spite of his 3 picks it looks like he throws a better(tighter spiral) ball than #16.

This is the 2nd year where RH started Wick. He’ll probably go for the trifecta next year. Expect different results?

Why the hostility?
Because you haven't been following our programs as long as we have. Many of us thought we should not have left the CAA, but here we are. We lost so many really good players, some think it was the coach, others think it was the move to the PL, still others believe it was the portal and higher level schools stealing our players.

Finally there is frustration because our coach mandates a run first offense centered on having a bruising QB, who gets hurt. He has no backup plan and no alternatives.

Here were are, 6 games into the season and we play a good backup QB, who has never played before, while we implemented a new scheme. He throws 3 INTs and we lose.

Given our experience in the CAA, we thought we would have an easier time of it in the Patriot. We are used to championships.

Finally, some of us note there are two types of northerners- Yankees who come and leave and Damnyankees who come and stay. Keep in mind 75% of our school hails from the Northeast. (all in good fun)

Our season is a train wreck.
