2025–26 opponent tracking

Another very light day heading into the big slate of Saturday games. VCU–Samford was the only A-10 game of the day, and as mentioned, the Bulldogs kept it close for 22 minutes before the Rams ran away with it. Meanwhile, VMI rolled over a greatly overmatched Christendom squad.

12/5

- VMI 89, Christendom (USCAA) 36

A-10 (1–0)
- VCU 83, Samford 57

Flyers have been outscored 23–7 over the past seven minutes to turn a tight game into a blowout.

C'mon, Fordham...Holy Cross outscores the Rams 15–2 over the final four minutes to grab the 70–69 victory.

Busy day today. A-10 missed out on some P4 opportunities but took care of business against lower-level opponents with the exception of Fordham. Joe's got a three-pointer at the buzzer to knock off Temple, which was nice. GW and W&M each put up over 50 in a tight first half, but W&M wasn't able to sustain it.

On the OOC side, Furman and Elon got the job done, but everyone else lost.

If you are looking for a game to watch, Belmont @ Middle Tenn State just started. Q2 opportunity for Belmont.
Belmont was down a bit 5 minutes before halftime but have come up very strong in 2nd half .. up by 12 now and pretty sure if they win in double digits on the road their NET and more importantly ours will get a bump.

1–1 on the day for the A-10, with Davidson hanging with a very good St. Mary's squad (was tied with 7 minutes to go) and SLU obliterating Central Michigan in dropping 107 points.

Also 1–1 on the OOC side, with Belmont eventually rolling as mentioned, while Charlotte got beat up on by a solid Utah State team.

An extremely light night all around with just seven D-I games on the slate, but one of them impacted us as Charleston Southern obliterated winless SC State.

12/8

Non-conference (1–0)
- Charleston Southern 84, SC State 44

Rhody falls to McNeese by 2 in a game that was tight the whole way, while St. Joe's rolls over Coppin State.

VMI beat Loyola of Maryland in the only OOC game against a D-I opponent, but Furman and The Citadel also beat up on D-IIs.

Rough night for the A-10, with only Bona and Fordham taking care of business. As mentioned in the A-10 thread, GW with a terrible loss to a bad Delaware team that was coming off a loss to Delaware State for the Hornets' first D-I win of the season, while VCU missed out on a quality win opportunity in coming up just short against New Mexico. And Duquesne is on its way to a loss against Boise State (edit: confirmed).

Just two games on the OOC slate, and both "Southern" schools came out on top. Southern Illinois dismantled a UT Martin team that has at least looked decent this season including a win over Bradley.

12/9

Non-conference (2–0. 1–0 D-I vs D-I)
- Southern Virginia (D-III) 95, Randolph (D-III) 87
- Southern Illinois 83, UT Martin 54

A-10 (2–3)
- Boise State 86, Duquesne 64
- New Mexico 81, VCU 78
- Bona 85, Colgate 77
- Delaware 70, GW 58
- Fordham 75, Fairleigh Dickinson 54
