In my playing days, I would instinctively press all the time and my coach would het pretty pissed. I'd get benched quickly when it happened and it's why I had one season where I averaged more steals per game than points.
Reading these posts, feel like Tarrant must have been a savant. His teams could run multiple defenses effectively. Opposition never knew what to expect out of a time out. Spiders need more of that.
Why not train the scout team to run zone defense exclusively. Hell we've got enough players (and young coaches) to have two scouts teams, one for zone and one for man.
